About Runbox Email Hosting
Runbox is an email service based in Oslo, Norway. The company is independent and employee owned, and its servers run on renewable energy and Norwegian hydropower. Data is hosted and managed in Norway, which Runbox presents as a privacy advantage.
Pricing is yearly, in euros, with cheaper three year options. Micro costs €19.95 a year with 2 GB of email storage and one email domain. Mini is €34.95 with 10 GB and five domains. Medium is €49.95 with 25 GB and ten domains. Max is €79.95 with 50 GB and 25 domains, and there are larger Max100 and Max250 plans at €119.95 and €179.95. Every plan includes at least one custom domain, unlimited aliases on your own domains and 100 @runbox aliases, with a 100 MB message size limit, 5,000 incoming and 500 outgoing messages a day. Three year plans cut the cost further. Micro is €49.95 for three years, Mini €84.95, Medium €119.95 and Max €189.95, which brings Medium down to about €3.33 a month. Medium is the plan Runbox marks as most popular.
Families and teams can add subaccounts, billed through the main account, from €7.95 a year on the Micro plan. Each subaccount has its own storage and settings, and plans can be mixed.
Every plan also includes file storage, from 200 MB on Micro up to 5 GB on Max, and you can move between plans as your needs change.
Every new account starts with a free 30 day trial, and no credit card is needed to start it. Support is through a help centre, a public service status page and customer support.
