About D14 – Direct Ad Sales for Website Publishers

D14 is a direct advertising platform for website owners. A publisher creates a placement, pastes one small async snippet (a div plus a script from cdn.d14.net) into their page, and sells that slot straight to advertisers. The publisher sets the price and rules, and buyers pay the publisher's own Stripe or PayPal account. D14 doesn't take its fee from the checkout. It invoices the publisher separately for 7% of each marketplace sale, so a £100 sale means the publisher gets £100 and is billed £7.

The checking is built into the workflow. There's no separate scan. The first live request from the snippet confirms the site's hostname and verifies ownership automatically. Publishers can require approval of every submitted advert before it runs, then approve it, reject it, ask for changes, or suspend it later. Each campaign is either sold to one paid advertiser at a time, or rotates between several paid banners by weight. Checkout doesn't reserve a slot, so a slot only becomes taken once payment completes. When no paid advert can run, the slot shows a house advert, collapses, stays empty, or shows custom fallback HTML.

Publishers use it by creating a placement and installing the snippet. They then publish a package with its format, quantity or duration, creative requirements and price, and review submissions. Someone with several sites can group them into a publisher network, choose per site whether it appears in the public marketplace, and put their own storefront of active slots on their pages. Buyers browse public listings and check the package and creative requirements before buying. The reporting follows delivery by campaign, website and placement, and counts served, rendered, viewable, clicked and invalid events.
