Commercial disclosure
How Prox makes money.
How sponsored placement, provider links, affiliate relationships, and D14 advertising are kept distinct from editorial decisions.
Sponsored placement
Providers can purchase clearly labelled additional exposure for an already approved listing. Sponsored results use a distinct card treatment, appear within defined inventory, and rotate fairly with other eligible promotions.
Category lists are also ranked by pay-per-click bids funded from member credit. Higher bids appear higher. Rows with an active bid are labelled Promoted. Staff can feature a listing without a charge; that is labelled Featured, not Promoted.
Payment never bypasses moderation, changes measured proxy results, or permits unsupported claims. When an entitlement ends, or a CPC bid is paused or set to zero, the approved listing returns to ordinary unpaid placement in that list.
Links and advertising
A listing or guide states when Prox may receive compensation after a visitor follows a commercial link. D14 placements, when enabled, are labelled as advertisements and have a house or empty fallback so blocking ads never blocks core content.
The D14 loader remains inactive until a visitor permits optional advertising. The Advertising choices control in the footer can be used to withdraw that choice; core content does not depend on consent.
Provider-supplied facts, Prox measurements, editorial guidance, and commercial placement are presented as separate evidence types.
Metrics
Impressions and outbound clicks are reported by source. Promotional analytics do not become ratings, reviews, or evidence of service quality.
